Today's Psalms

Welcome to our daily service, which comprises an opening antiphon, psalm, reading, canticle and prayers.

This Sunday's service

Our online Service for the Third Sunday in Lent (7th March) includes a sung psalm, canticle and a song, as well as reading and prayers appropriate to the day.

This week's theme is water. Our reading is from Exodus, and tells of Moses creating a spring in the desert at God's command. The song is 'River of God', the psalm is psalm 95 and the Canticle is At the Name of Jesus.

Last Sunday's service

Our online Service for the Second Sunday in Lent (28th February) includes a sung psalm, canticle and a song, as well as reading and prayers appropriate to the day.

The reading is from St Luke, telling of Jesus' Transfiguration on the mountain. The song is "Let all the World in Every Corner sing", the psalm is Psalm 33 and the Canticle is "At the Name of Jesus".

For the dead

One of our tasks as christians is to remember the dead. Our daily service often includes a prayer specifically for the dead, but here is a song which does the same - with video images remembering those who have died in service of their country.

It is called "Give them rest" and closely mirrors a prayer which has been said for the dead for centuries.
